Palmer High School offers a couple options within Group 3: Social Sciences

 IB US History/History of the Americas, taught by Ms. Moore and Mr. Bentel

IB US History/History of the Americas is a three-part study of the people and events that help shape global history. During their junior year students take a hybrid US History/History of the Americas Class, which covers significant events, individuals, and themes of history in the western hemisphere while also allowing students to develop and apply skills in text analysis, research, and writing. Senior year students expand on that study, looking in depth at themes particular to the 20th century. 

 Philosophy, taught by Mr. Pettit 

Philosophy includes the study, discussion of, and writing about topics that range from philosophical issues and ethics, morals and culture, to knowledge and reason.
