Group 6: The Arts

IB Visual Arts, taught by Mrs. Folsom. In IB Visual Arts, students explore ideas and the resulting artwork of historical periods as it relates to the student's personal studio body of work.  Students will describe, analyze, and criticize artwork and explore the interdependency of art and one's environment.  Class activities stress independent thought and productivity.

IB Music Theory, taught by Ms Carroll. The goal of IB Music Theory is to develop students' abilities to recognize, understand and describe the basic materials and processes of music that are heard or presented in a score.  The material of a first year college-level music theory course is covered, including the development of fundamental aural, notational and performance skills.
